They moved from Argyle Street, down to Barrington Street (the old Cargo James Tea spot).
They have the same great service, awesome coffee and sandwiches. Try their mexi wraps - they rock.
I've been coming here for about a year now and the coffee has always been top notch - the dark roast in particular. While I haven't sampled their baked goods directly, I have it on good authority that they are delicious judging from the way people seem to devour them.
It seems they're eco-friendly too and promote you re-using your cup by giving you cheaper refills so don't toss that cup. Other than that, the staff have always been exceptional and friendly especially when they must be dealing with a hoard of half-asleep patrons in the morning.
i love the uncommon grounds on argyle street. the staff are so friendly and the turkey cranberry sandwich rocks.
good coffee too - try the fog burner!
I really enjoy going here as the owners are gifted in the ability to hire great staff. They always have fresh fair-trade coffee brewing and offer quite a few types of snacks, wraps, sandwiches, and chocolate with embedded-fruit.
I have been introduced to this place by my colleagues. It is a very nice coffee shop. The coffee smells really good and taste good as well. It is much better than the ones of Tim Hortons.
I've also tried different kinds of desert (biscuit, cheese cake, etc). They all very tasty and fresh.
Delicious coffee at an affordable price. Very friendly staff as well.
(I think Halifaxer has a crush on Danna)
I frequent the Argyle St., location a few times a week for a coffee and a bite....the triangle, nutty, chocolatey thingies are awesome.
The soup and sandwich combo is a pretty good deal ($9) and the Turkey/Cranberry sandwich is always good eats!
The coffee is always consistently fresh and hot - without paying Starbucks prices!
Local owners so worth supporting (they also own Sugah, Rumrunners and UnCommon Kids on South Park Street).
Great coffee and sweets (the chocolate-chip cookies and peanut butter squares are fab), and their soup & sandwich combos are a good, inexpensive meal (I totally agree with Geordie about the turkey-cran). Wish there were a few better quality tables and chairs, but the food & drinks are the main attraction.
offers good organic coffee and delicious store baked cheesecake and sandwiches.
