The Dome
From the Community
The Dome is a huge club and always packed, but packed with the wrong crowd. The kind of crowd that if you try to walk past a guy and step on his shoes by mistake, he'll want to fight you.
The bouncers are very unprofessional and let people they know walk past the line.
The dance floor is always covered with broken glass.
Music is good though. Also, once you get inside, the staff is nice and sometimes you can even chat with them.
Upstairs you can enter Cheers, which is another club. There's usually a live band playing there.
The line-ups can get ridiculous. You stand outside for 30 minutes to infinity as you watch the bouncers let people jump the line causing your wait to be even longer. The enforcement of their "dress code" is by the bouncers' discretion; so if for some reason the guy doesn't want you in, he can make up some "rule" about your clothing. The place is pretty much always packed but can get stuffy at times. The broken glass all over the dance floor can lead to a very annoying night. All of that said, it does have some of the better music in the city - your typical Top 40 songs. It's a pretty decent time due to the amount of people and the music.
