I liked the food, but the interior felt so cold and generic ... it didn't really have a character of its own. Not a bad spot for a quick lunch - the service was quick. But I wouldn't recommend it for social gatherings.

I’ve only been to Star Anise twice, but both times I was very pleased. The satay skewers with peanut sauce and cucumber salad are delicious, and I also like the lemongrass chicken vermicelli. You get a lot of food for a low price, and the service is fast and friendly too.

I have been to this restaurant many many times. I loved their rice noodles with beef balls, and other beef products. They taste really nice, the rice noodles in the soup plus some fresh bean spouts makes it perfect! Also they have good spring rolls as well. I tried spring rolls in different places, they offer the best one. If you like spicy, you can also try the seafood one.
