1 Reviews for Sesame Burgers and Beer
I discovered Sesame Burgers & Beer about a year ago while thumbing through the Charleston City Paper with an out-of-town friend who wanted a GOOD burger. We checked out the menu and headed to the Park Circle location (4726 Spruill Ave in N. Charleston) that evening. After my first visit, I was hooked. I've since then been to both locations dozens of times each, and I never leave feeling anything but wowed. The service is prompt and friendly, my soda/tea is never empty (8 years as a server in Chicago, I'm very critical of service) and the food is always amazing. They feature hormone free, ground in-house beef patties, house made condiments (try the peanut butter), over 60 beer choices, house roasted meats for sandwiches, house made salad dressings and tons of vegetarian options. I've tried quite a few different burger combinations, as well as items from their sandwich menu - but I almost always gravitate towards my favorite:
The Memphis - housemade peanut butter, bacon and banana on a beef patty
with a side of steak fries (or sweet potato fries, those are yummy as well).
The Ultimate Grilled Cheese is pretty darn good, too. Don't forget to visit on Tuesday nights for burgers starting at $3.
About This Business
Description: After 4 years of success operating Five Loaves Cafe, Joe and Casey decided to open a restaurant with a different concept. This new venture would require taking the core ingredients we had learned and applying that to a gourmet burger restaurant. This meant using hormone-free, ground-in-house beef patties, housemade condiments, fresh salads, sandwiches and lots of vegetarian options. Teaming that up with a clean and friendly service, comfortable atmosphere and huge selection of beer has proved to be a winning combination. Sesame Burgers has now multiplied in the same fashion as Five Loaves and will continue to serve a welcoming experience to everyone who enters.
