Salvatore's... yum! It's a bit pricey for pizza size, but Salvatore's has the winning recipe for delicious thin-crust pizzas. They've got the most delectable gourmet toppings, arranged in their own grouping of simple pizzas, or in your own a la carte additions to their "original". Mind you, they are sticklers on no-changes to their suggested combos; but I don't mind! I love that they don't compromise on the fabulous simplicity of their Original and Specialty pizzas.
The effect? Not too much cheese, a crispy-thin crust, and taste bud exploding flavor - in the best possible way.
My only complaint? Their Caesar salad: not creamy, not enough anchovies, and too much lemon.... It's more like a garlic-vinaigrette on finely chopped romaine lettuce. But pizza-wise? Salvatore's is perfection.
The restaurant is way wee, nothing fancy, and almost always packed, but it's worth the wait. And during prime times, delivery wait time is often lengthy (pick up if you can).
Salvatore's is definitely one of the best thin crust pizza places in the city, and they do delivery!!! I have friends who make a bee-line to their restaurant every time they visit Halifax. Give their "Pizza Miguel" a try- it's mouth watering!

Salvatores is the best pizza place that I've visited in Halifax. Their gourmet pizzas have amazing flavour, and are on a light, hand-tossed crust. They are always my first choice when I am craving pizza.
Okay I'm writing this without having read the other review, but how can you give 5 stars to a pizza place that puts you on hold everytime you call them, normally delivers cold pizza and makes my clothes stink every time I visit them...grant it the pizza is to die for and they have the best ceaser salad around...although every time I eat it it burns my mouth and I can't sleep! If you are from Halifax and haven't been here you need to go just so you can see the organized chaos and if you aren't from here and are in town and want some pizza it's worth the cab ride (or long walk) from downtown to try it out.
Salvatore's "Original" pizza is absolutely the best. It sounds plain - basically sauce and cheese - but the flavours in the herbs and sauce are totally addictive! It's a cute little place to eat in, but generally this is my takeout/delivery choice. It can often take an hour for your order to arrive because the place is so popular, but it's absolutely worth the wait.
