Perks Coffee

good place - it used to be better but it you are looking for a quick fix it's cool !
It use to be "the spot" for coffee in Halifax, we sued to go almost every other day after work for a coffee near the sea. Visited two days back, their cakes are yummy but service is slow and it is more expensive than starbucks if you want a slice of cake and plain coffee. It's trying to become starbucks which it can't based on the ambience it has.
The best thing for this spot is its location specailly in summer time. I am not sure what they are trying to become starbucks, tim hortons or pizzahut. Hope they do well, but I am not sure if I will be a regular customer now. If the owners are listening please do something.
Nice coffee shop specially during hot summer days. They have all kinds of cakes, pastries and meals. I use to go be a t perks a lot at night night during school days now they are not 24/7 anymore, they close around midnight (may be even earlier now).
I have mixed feelings about this place, but have had many fond memories there over the past couple of years. The drinks are decent, but there are many better places in town to grab a hot beverage. That said, the location and atmosphere are what make it for me. I love trying to steal the lone booth in the back corner, preferably with a handsome young fellow in tow. :)
a decent spot to grab a quick coffee on the way to the Dartmouth ferry terminal.
I especially like the egg sandwich.
This place was a lifesaver when it was open 24 hours, but it has lost some of its allure. Good coffee, sweets and sandwiches, and definitely a good location on the waterfront, but the service isn't very friendly, and sometimes the tables don't get cleaned.
so this is where you can enjoy coffee and the sea at the same time, and don't forget to try their blueberry muffin, one of the best in town.
This placed used to be my favourite night spot because it was the only place open 24 hours - ideal for thesis writing. But no more. With reduced hours of operation, there are many better alternatives around town. And what's up with the liquor licence? This place lost it's glare.
The location is very conveniently located on the harbour, the coffee quality (especially the specialty coffees), is pretty good. I wish the service staff were more welcoming though.
