I took a retro turntable in to Peak Audio because it needed a new needle and a bit of a motor cleaning. It was there for days and days, and I paid and paid for "service and labour," but I never actually got any parts. I was told that finding a needle for that turntable was like, um, looking for a needle in a haystack, and that it would take months for them to try to find one. Whatever - I went online and found the right needle in about 5 minutes, and fixed it myself for a whole lot less money than Peak charged for nothing. I'd rate them a 1 out of 5, but there was a lovely old chap at the counter who was very pleasant and liked to enthuse about the good ol' days of LPs and record players.
