Good live music and excellent food. For some reason this irish pub also serves some scottish dishes ;) ofcourse Scotts will love this. Good sellection of beers.
The Triangle is my favourite pub in Halifax. I often go there for brunch with family and friends, and enjoy the “comfort food” on the menu, like the boxty. I also like that the pub has three different areas, so you can choose whether to be downstairs with the live music, or in one of the upstairs areas instead. Whenever Brian Doherty is there, he gives a welcoming smile or wave, and the service is consistently good.
This place is a complete rip job.
The guinness is over 8 bucks a pint after tax and tip is factored in!
The atmosphere is fake and it's full of old people dancing to fake Irish music.
I prefer to spend my hard earned money at Pogue Fado or other places that do happy hours.
The Old Triangles is a royal rip-off!
The Triangle has a great vibe, excellent staff, traditional Irish and pub fare (like boxty and stew), and of course, a steady stream of ale! A lot of great live entertainment and special events too.
