My opinion still stands from my last review of this gym but I just wanted to add that this place is the least busy of the co-ed Nubody's during after work peak times (5:00-7:00) making it my old favourite gym again.
I don't go to these sorts of fitness clubs often but this one was fine. The staff there are nice and the facilities are mint.
But the price is a little steep (IMHO). You get full access to the facilities, but most people don't use more than a couple things. Like I just wanted a Yoga class and not the spin class, free weights, work-out equipment, etc. If I could pay for only a single class (and not get access to other things), that'd be better for me, and most.
I used to work out at the Tower but switched here because they have a nice corporate membership program.
This gym is 100 times cleaner than the tower. The door staff always greet me and they are quite friendly. The personal trainers are well certified.
The only downside is that there is only 1 bench press and 1 squat rack and it can get very busy at peak hours. However, I usually go during lunch hours and it is perfect.
I only wish Nubodys offered a free towel service (at least included in membership)
I do not agree with Fiona. My only problem with Parklane Nubody's is the price of parking. Otherwise I am fully satisfied. Good staff, clean facilities and lots of equipment and room to move about.
If it weren't for the fact that Nubody's is the closest gym to me (Park Vic, Park Lane & Scotia Square), and that members have access to Nubody's anywhere, I would not be member. The front desk staff are always inattentive and unhelpful, and make you feel as if you're disturbing them. The classes I've registered for have all been over-crowded -- so much so that I can't even see the trainer. Being motivated to work out is hard enough without also being made to feel unwelcome in your own gym.
The front desk staff at many of the clubs especially Parklane are pretty unfriendly and unwelcoming. Part of being a member of a gym is feeling like part of a community where you are greeted and appreciated. That feeling is seldom found at Parklane.
Nubody's in Park Lane is located on the first floor right across from the Empire Theatre. Nubody's offers a wide variety of classes such as spin, dance and body bar type classes as well as personal trainers.
The gym itself is three levels, the first level being the weight room with machines for circuit training as well as a few row machines. The next two levels contain most of the cardio machines as well as a smaller area for people to train if they're to intimidated to plunge right into the main weight room.
The weight room itself contains all the traditional staples of a gym except that there is only one bench and squat rack which can mean long waits if you're going during peak times (6:00pm).
The entire gym is rather clean. There is always someone constantly going around cleaning the gym. An added bonus too is that there is a shake store right next door so you can go pick one up right after a workout.
