Good people of Dartmouth-I implore you. If you are like me and have not sampled the fare at the Micmac Bar and Grill, drop whatever you are doing and get over there on the double. The meal I sampled tonight had two of my favorite things- 8 strips of bacon and a smokin' hot British guy sitting at our table! But lets focus on the food....

Word on the street is that the Micmac Bar and Grill is an institution here in Dartmouth, and its easy to see why. My friend, my son and I arrived on a Friday night around 7:00pm, and there was about 8 people in the line up waiting for a table. After only about a 5 min wait, we were taken to a long table that sat eight to share with another family. The place was packed, with a super casual decor and vibe. The wait staff were immediately on hand to take drink orders, and were back within minutes to take our order.

I had one of my favorite things-all day breakfast-which included two eggs, the aforementioned 8 strips of bacon, toast and hash browns. My friend ordered the veggie burger and sweet potato fries, which she proclaimed to be delicious. All of the food was served piping hot, with a smile from our waitress.

Now for the scoop on the British guy-who was sitting with us at our table. He ordered the $19.99 steak and lobster platter, one of their most popular dishes, and said it was superb. Who was I to argue?

All in all, a fantastic experience, and the best part is the bill was under $26.00 for the two of us, including tax and tip. I will definitely be going back for a return visit, as soon as my arteries can handle it! Love it!!!!
