Admittedly, I only went here because of my love for Bobby Flay's cooking. I have to say that I was expecting so much more from my meal with Bobby Flay behind the wheel especially considering New York's bustling high end restaurant scene.
I had the tuna tartare for an appetizer which was excellent but the rest was good but not the magical dining experiencing that I had imagined. For dessert, I had their chocolate cake which was tasty. Overall, the dining experiencing was good but didn't blow me away like I thought it would.
The dress code at Mesa Grill seemed to be more business casual. I saw a range from men in suits and women in rather elegant dresses to much more casual attire. If you're really concerned on what to wear so as to fit in, air on that happy medium between upscale and casual and you should be fine.
