I am about to make a sweeping statement which will no doubt enrage much of the women(and some men) parading about the streets of Halifax. Unless you are a yoga instructor, there is no reason why you need to be dressed in head to toe Lululemon 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week. (Unless you feel the need to drop down and do downward facing dog at the grocery store, or sun salutations to the bus driver while picking your children up from school.)

The Lululemon shop on Spring Garden road appears to be busy at all times of the day, with the occasional line up on regular Saturdays to even get inside the store. Upon entering, you are greeted by a perky member of the sales staff- who always appear to be racing around the store on a mission of some sort. If you are willing to shell out the big bucks necessary for their apparel and accessories, be prepared to disappointed, as the sizes are often depleted. (but you can go online! I am cheerily told!!)

Having found an item in your size you wish to try on, you are corralled to the rear of the shop only to have your name plastered over your changing room door-so they can ask if you need another size. (which we both know as the one item you like and can almost afford won't be there !)

As an avid gym user, I personally find the workout wear available are neither supportive enough, or provide enough coverage. Some of the wraps/coats/jackets are well made and quite stylish, but be prepared to pay for them.

Just sayin'. And now back to your regularly scheduled yoga class.
