From the Community
I've never stayed at the Lord nelson (although I hear the rooms are clean) but I have been in the Victory Arms pub...which is inside the Lord Nelson Hotel. Decent food and reasonably priced too.
Their service was also attentative and gave me the feeling of being in an English pub, like so many of the Halifax bars.
