I rented a guitar for my son's first guitar lessons over the summer months - the staff were helpful and friendly and spent time with us even though our knowledge of instruments was limited.

We ended up with a Fender amp, Stratocaster + case for $30 per month, taxes in. They also have a good system where you get 60% of your rental fee applied to a future purchase of the instrument. Good service and lots of choice.
