Though the name says it all, Indian Groceries on Robie and North is much more than your average East Indian grocery stores. In business for almost 2 decades now, it has grown with the growing needs of today's consumers. Therefore apart for the cliched Samosas, Garam Masala, and Sweet Desserts, you can find almost any household item that you might be looking for in your daily life. If not anything you can drop by for just a laugh and a chat. with a friendly staff who customise your needs(not found very often0 to the best of their abilities, they go an extra mile in helping you out beyond the usual parameters of a retail store. Like finding out the the best rates offered by the calling cards to aforeign land via the internet, or suggesting you use a $2.00 bus tickets instead just gchanging a 10 dollar bill for $2.25 worth of quarters, or fixing up your broken computer. funny thing is, they dont even charge you for it.. its's a friendly gesture which iimediately draws you closer to the store.
Not to mention the great variety and range of products you have to spoil yourself with choices!
Check it out yourself and be a happily returning customer like myslef and walk out with a smile every single time.
Ok if you want some real Indian groceries, this is the shop of the town. Filled with all kinds of spicies, lentils (daal), indian movies if you like the colors and music of bollywood. Fresh Samosa's and everything that you need for your Indian curry's and flavors.
For people far away from India, this store is like an oasis :). You'll get pretty much everything that you get in India. If you are not sure of the spices just ask one of the cashiers they are more than willing to help you out. They also rent Bollywood DVD's at a reasonable price.
