I had a friend who was always "renting" movies- I found out he was just borrowing free movies from the library! They also have the latest gossip magazines, and we all know those are 5 bucks a pop! A bit confusing to navigate around, but the workers there are so helpful and friendly, they'll guide you in the right direction.

Convenient location in the heart of Halifax. Great selection of books of course, but it’s also the best way to borrow movies and CDs (for free!), and to read the latest magazines.

If you can't find what you're looking for, each branch is integrated online, so you can request an item and have it sent to your nearest location. The online system needs a few usability improvements, but the service in the branch is fantastic. An automated checkout system, similar to what exists at the Alderney branch, would be useful here too.

Looking forward to when the new library is built, but this one's tried and true.
