Whenever I need a special cake I always go to gleneagle. Their cakes are moist, fresh and always delicious. Depending on your mood, they range form chocolate to lemon, strawberry and sinful cheesecakes. Usually you can select from a small cake for about 8 people to a larger of the same cake to serve at least 10 or 12. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

The first thing you'll say when you walk into Gleneagle is "wow." For a fairly small-sized shop, it is chock full with racks of fresh bread, cases of cakes, and rows upon rows of sinful treats. I bought some individual-sized tortes for Easter, as well as a chocolate-chip loaf, and they all tasted amazing. I thought the miniatures were well priced, but the loaf was $10, which I thought was a bit high (compared to $5-6 at other bakeries or the farmers' market). But overall it's easy to see why this bakery is getting such a great reputation.

Always a sure bet for birthday cakes and special occassion cakes. They are always really accomodating with speacial orders I have placed in the past as well. I use their Bedford and Cole Harbour place locations.
