I don't often eat in food courts, but I found myself at Scotia Square at lunchtime today, surveying the options. Far East had several daily combos to choose from, starting as low as $3.99. I went for the ginger beef with noodles and veggies, and it all tasted yummy! The best part though was the wonderful staff (I'm assuming this couple are the owners). They were super friendly, cracking jokes with me and my friend, and basically just brightened up my day. I'll definitely go back the next time the food court cravings kick in! [And here's a tip: although they do have a sign that says "Far East," look for the big red letters that say "Chinese Food"]

Far East Cuisine is located in the Scotia Square Mall in Halifax, NS. I like this place mainly because of the service and consistent food. The couple that run it are very friendly and I'm always greeted with "Hello Mr Jay!! Mr Jay special?"...and they always offer their daily newspaper to me to read while I eat.

It's nice to have a regular spot. It's like my "Cheers"...where everybody knows my name.
