I've always enjoyed the food here, and it's a popular spot in Dartmouth. They often have live music, and it's one of the best places to be on St. Patty's Day. If you're from Halifax, it's worth it to take a ferry ride over, enjoy a few beers, and ferry back!
a pretty good spot for a cold one and some pub grub. The salads are good too. I hear the regulars on Friday night can get a wee bit 'rowdy'....but its all in good fun ;). Staff is pretty good too! Love the live music!
Great atmosphere, wonderful food and the best draught beers. On the average Friday night, Celtic Corner is pretty busy and the clientele range in age from early twenties to seniors. Staff is friendly (mostly) and customers happy. Probably the best pub in Dartmouth.
The Celtic Corner isn't exactly a pristine spot - so if you are expecting a gleaming bathroom and spotless floors look elsewhere.
However, if you want an authentic local pub vibe with decent food this is the place. Try their 'Maple Curry Chicken Pasta' - it's an excellent dish.
They also have a great selection of beers, such as Kilkenny, Guinness and Propeller.
Their rooftop patio gives you a great view of the city - but be careful on the stairway up there, its a precariously step climb.
I'm not a fan of the decor, and the path to the patio is rather sketchy, but this place makes some serious pub grub, like Steak & Guiness pie, boxty, and fish & chips. It's a great meeting place, and they often have good live music. I wouldn't make a trip to Dartmouth especially to go there, but if I'm the neighbourhood, I'd probably stop in.
