I love cabin coffee! They have good coffee and their breakfast sandwiches are great! There is a bit of a wait, but you get a number, and it's hot and fresh when you get it! The atmosphere is really cozy and it's a relaxing place to do homework or just sit and take a breather before you start your work day.

Cabin Coffee is one of those places I always seem to forget about. This is probably because it's on Hollis street and not near the popular Argyle and Spring garden locations. However, it's not too far out of the way and it's certainly worth making a trip.

I'd have to say their coffee is on par with the best spots in Halifax. The decor in the shop is great. It's very cozy and there are lots of sofa's to sit back and enjoy your java. The service is very friendly and they are always quick to recommend staff favourite treats. Each time I visit I make a conscious effort to order a different blend of coffee. I've yet to be disappointed.

They are hands down the cheapest spot downtown for a coffe and a bite for breakfast.

$4.62 (taxes in) for a good sized egg and ham bagel and a coffee!

Fantastic!

As previous reviewers said, the cabin atmosphere is cozy and the big leather chairs are a great spot to read or people watch. The egg, bacon, cheese BB bun is the best, but coffee is just average. Some good lunch sandwiches and homemade soups too.

I agree with Fiona, about the rustic look and feel of this place. The log walls and fireplace really adds to the whole experience. The All day breakfast special is not bad. My one complaint about this place would be the store hours, they close really early :( (6pm)

I like the interior design and there's a cheap breakfast special that includes a coffee. Not a bad place.

The Cabin wouldn't be my first choice for coffee and edibles, but it would be first for its rustic atmosphere. The log walls, wooden tables and Adirondack chairs make for a relaxing environment. They do make a good (and very cheap) breakfast sandwich, but nothing else on the menu really stands out, and the service can sometimes be slow.
