Compared to the other thai restaurants in halifax this one falls a little short.
I took a trip to Baan Thai last week at it's new location and was a little let down. I found the curry to be a little watery and the spring rolls were about as good as something from M&M meat shop. Maybe they got them there? They also don't serve alcohol. Not sure why.

I will go back and give them another chance. Hoping it's a little better for me the 2nd time around.

The first time we have tried Baan Thai since they moved to Blower Street from Dresden Row and their dishes are the same good quality.

I decided to try something different (Jungle Curry) which was called 'spicey' on the menu. It was more than spicey!...but still very tasty.

The satay chicken skewers and spring rolls to start were also very good.

Not the cheapest thai restaurant in Halifax, but definitely one of the best.

I ate there for the first time about a week ago. It was great from the appetizers to the main meal. The lettuce wraps were really good. And if you like spicy food, they definitely deliver in that aspect. I will definitely be back to try more.

I like Thai food, maybe because I am kind of Asian taste favor person. I have tried all three popular Thai restaurants in town, I found Baan Thai was still the best in the town. The price is reasonable, the amount is good. And the taste is just great! I never disappointed at any of my visits. Sometimes, they are quite busy, you may expect some time to wait, but it worth the wait.

Their location is a bit hard to find. It is on the second level inside a building.

I love the Pad Thai and Green Curry at Baan Thai. The service is generally very good and atmosphere is relaxed and casual.

One of the better Thai restaurants in Halifax, for sure.

I heard that they are moving closer to downtown onto Blower Street.

Their cashew chicken is the best in the city; with the ginger chicken in a close second place. The food is served fast and is always piping hot - the perfect excuse to enjoy a mango drink!

Baan Thai is hard to spot, it's entrance is considered hidden. But once discovered, you've found the treasure. Unbelievable food and service. The waitress didn't push me to order a drink or come over while I'm eating to annoy me.. err, I mean to check up on how the food is.
This made the service stand out. The waitresses don't watch you like hawks which is the case at other restaurants. Very easy to feel at home at this place.

We have tried other Thai restaurants around the city but none have yet to surpass Baan Thai. Baan Thai is sure to please. Victor and Sue are great hosts and make each visit pleasurable. Highly recommended!!!

Many would agree that this is the best authentic Thai food restaurant in HRM. Having been to Thailand, and having tried the majority of the Thai restaurants around town, I find that Baan Thai's cuisine is the closest to what I experienced in Thailand.

Some of my favourite dishes there are the mango salad, the super-spicy papaya salad, and of course pad tai.

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and excellent service. Five stars all the way!
